 How to Apply:

THE SELECTION PROCESS

This is a "continuous" selection process, which means applications will be reviewed as vacancies occur. Therefore, applicants may not be contacted at the time of application unless there is a need to fill an immediate vacancy.

Step I: The first step in the selection process will consist of a review of each applicant's employment application when a vacancy occurs. Incomplete applications will not be given further consideration. Be sure to answer all questions and attach any requested documentation.

Step II: As vacancies occur within this classification, the second step will consist of a physical agility and skills assessment, which both parts must be passed in order to continue in the process.  The list of candidates to be further considered will be developed directly from the results of Step II.

Step III:  The third step will be an interview.  Typically the interview will be the same day as Step II for those candidates passing both parts of Step II.

The City of Blue Ash reserves the right to modify the selection process as necessary to conform to administrative or business necessity.

Step IV: Once a selection has been made from Step III, the selected applicant(s) will be requested to submit to a background investigation. Upon successful completion of the background investigation, the applicant will be requested to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and fit-for-duty physical exam.

Step V: After successful completion of Step IV, applicants will be given a formal written offer of employment and will meet with the Human Resources Office to complete New Employee Paperwork.
