Overall Job Objective

Description

The Dougherty County EMS Department is hiring on a continuous basis for Paramedics.

Essential Tasks

Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: performing duties which provide pre-hospital care to the sick and injured under established departmental policies and procedures, and State Law, through supervision of emergency center physicians. Reports to Shift Supervisor.

Minimum Qualification

High school graduate or equivalent; 21 years of age; and be certified by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, as a Paramedic with a minimum of three (3) months of experience. Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Must possess and maintain valid Georgia Driver's License and present evidence of a good driving record for the past three years. Must be able to pass a background check.

REQUIRED AT INTERVIEW: VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE, THREE (3) YEAR MVR DRIVING HISTORY, HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT, CURRENT LEVEL OF TRAINING LICENSE, STATE CERTIFICATION, CURRENT CPR CARD, CURRENT ACLS, AND ANY OTHER RELATED CERTIFICATE(S) AND/OR DOCUMENT(S).

NOTE: Candidate must be able to lift 180 pounds from the ground to the stretcher with assistance from a partner.

Supplemental Information

SALARY: $32,284.28 annually.
