They are affiliated with two Level 1 trauma centers one of them being Riley Hospital for Children at IUH which is the only Level 1 pediatric trauma centers Indiana! Outside of providing transport to and between all IU Health hospitals Indiana, LifeLine also provides services to customers throughout the state of Indiana, Western Ohio, and Eastern Illinois. As a crew member, you'd work with ground breaking technology available in LifeLine ambulances. These include Zoll cardiac monitors, Hamilton-T1 ventilator, and Alaris pumps. Outside of top-of-the-line technology, there are also several growth opportunities within the organization throughout the state. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role is responsible for providing immediate emergency care and transport of the critically ill or injured via an emergency medical vehicle. These candidates will respond to the scene of reported emergencies, nonemergencies, and inter-hospital transports. During these transports, EMTs provide efficient and immediate basic life support care to the patient. This support is provided in a variety of different settings including at the scene, en-route to, and in, the hospital. While working as an EMT with IU Health, you will have the opportunity to perform non-invasive procedures and BLS functions. These could include the following: cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and bone splinting.
